Happy Easter!

Greetings!

I pray that you and yours have a blessed Easter Day.  I am stopping by with some good news and to share a card.  I am proud (and very very happy) to announce that I will be joining Paulette's Design Team over at Create with TLC.  I am so very thankful to Paulette for allowing me to join her awesome team and play with her FAB images and sentiments.  *doing the happy dance*

Here's my creation...

Rejoice Jesus is Alive

Filled with his glory

I created my card using a 6x6 pink card base.  I layered on MME designer paper and yellow embossed cardstock.  I then matted my image on green cardstock.  I merged the flower image, which was a freebie from Paulette with a scan page from the bible.  I like how it turned out.  I printed the flower image twice and cut out the second copy and popped it on top of the first image.  I added some swirl vines and flowers to finish my card off.  The sentiment is from the set above that you can pick up in the Create with TLC store

I am so honored to be a part of Paulette's team and look forward to bringing you more of her goodies over the next 3 months.  If you haven't visited her blog, you should check it out.  What can go a long way and is free?   Gratitude!  Make sure you take the time to say "thank you" if you snag one of free sentiments or images. :-)

Also, there will be another blog hop coming up on April 7th and you don't want to miss it.  There will be several yummy goodies up for grabs and TONS of inspiration from the design team.  Check out the blog for details.

Lastly,  I have more good news coming so stay tuned!!! :-)

I wheely miss you...

Greetings!

Happy Hump Day!  If you have made it this far then tie a knot and hang on because Friday is on the horizon. :-)  I am popping in quickly with another card that I made using TSG (There She Goes) stamps.  I used the same "Scootin' By" stamp set, but different image and sentiment.

Here's my creation...

Wheely Miss You
I used a 6x6 scalloped card base and layered on teal cardstock and then dp.  I then added a another strip of dp and punched out a red circle.  I colored my image using Copic markers and paper pieced her dress.  I have gotten so use to digitally paper piecing my images that it took me a second to remember how to do it the traditional way. haha  Anyways, I popped my little girl on top of the circle and added the sentiment.  I wanted to look like she was holding up a sign.  I finished the card off with a white gel pen for accents and red gel pen for the bows in her hair.

I dedicate this card to crafting in general.  I wheely missed it!! :-)

Church Ladies

Greetings!

I just realized that Easter is this Sunday.  What planet have I been residing on??  I can't believe that March will be over with so soon.  It has truly been a blur of a month for me.  I had to go out and buy an Easter dress.  Yes, I still do that.  haha  I use to love it when my mom would take us shopping for Easter dresses, shoes, purse and hat.  I thought I was so grown up. lol  Well, I can't seem to let the feeling go, because I do it every year.  My little treat to myself.  I don't get the hat, but I do get everything else (including the basket-lol).

Well, today I would like to share with you a card I made using Robert Jackson's Church ladies.  I love this image because it reminds me of the church ladies at my church.

Here's my creation...

Church Ladies

I started out with my traditional 6x6 white scalloped cardstock base.  I then layered on black cardstock and then designer paper.  I used a DieCut Above diecut in the center and then layered a Spellbinder's diecut on top.  I cut my ladies image out after coloring them with Copic markers and centered then on top of the SB diecut.  I ran ribbon across the diecut and tied a bow.  I added some beads on a string and gel bling to finish it off.

I dedicate this card to all the church ladies who will be wearing their huge Easter hats on Sunday. teeheehee

Scootin By...

Greetings!

I hope that you had a safe and blessed weekend.  I accomplished a lot this weekend.  I even made dinner yesterday in the crockpot.  I don't usually cook since it is just me, but sometimes (after watching a lot of the Food Network) I get the culinary urge to rattle some pots and pans. haha

Anyways, I have a busy week ahead of me (mostly crafty stuff so no complaints) and thought I would scoot by and share a card I made using TSG (There She Goes) stamps.  I don't often get to play with rubber/acrylic stamps, but these are some of my go-to stamps when I do.  I spend most of my time playing with my digis, but sometimes a girl just has to get a little "inky with it." I love TSG stamps, because they do stamp with such a crispness and they are such cool images and sentiments.  Also, Jessica is so kind, because when I ordered my stamp sets, I ordered the same one twice and she was very quick to swap it out for another set.  You can not beat that kind of service, especially when you are a scatter brain like me. :-)

Here's my creation...

Scootin' By
I used the "Scootin By" set which comes with not only fun images, but awesome sentiments as well.  I started my card out with a 6x6 scalloped white cardbase and layered on some funky Chevron designer paper.  I then matted white cardstock on a lime green cardstock.  I stamped the dots on the white cardstock and created a header with a scrap piece of designer paper.  If you look closely, you can see that I carefully cut the dp to show off the zigzag design.  I then stamped my image, colored it with Copic markers and Spica markers.  I cut it out and popped it up on the cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment and matted it on the same lime green cardstock.  I finished the card off by adding some glaze gel on the light and white gel pen for accent.

I dedicate this card to all my peeps...YOU!
I hope your Monday turns out to be a Friday in disguise. :-)

I *heart* you...

Greetings!

Those are 3 very powerful words, eh?!  I know Valentine's Day has come and gone, but everyday is a day for love, right?  I created this card a while back and didn't get a chance to post it so now I am.  The heart shaped diecut border on top was designed by me.

Here's my creation...

I *heart* you
I started out with a 6x6 scalloped white card base and layered on some designer paper.  I then adhered my diecut to the top of the card and cut out my image using a Spellbinder's circle diecut.  I added the tag that I stamped with a sentiment.  My Mo Manning Bella & Bronte image with Copic markers.

I will give this card to my friend had to put her dog down recently.

Be Free Frame

Greetings!

Happy 1st day of Spring!  To celebrate the first day of Spring I would like to share another frame I made using designer paper and diecuts.

Here's my creation...

Be Free Frame

I purchased the wooden frame from Michael's ($1 clearance) and layered it with designer paper from SU.  I used a spray adhesive to adhere the paper to the frame.  I then layered on lace from my stash, diecuts (Tim Holtz's birdcage and bird, Spellbinder's hearts and flourishes).  I also added a key and lock from my stash.  I used an ink pad to give it a bit of a distress looked and added bling to make it pop.  The jewels hanging from the birdcage are actually crystals beads that I got from Wild Orchid Flowers a while back along with the flowers.

I really like how it turned out and plan on making some more. :-)

Celebrate Today

Greetings!

Happy last day of winter!!  The wind is blowing and snow is falling here so winter isn't leaving without a good fight. :-)

In my creation for today, I wanted to share with you a little bit of spring and to remind you to celebrate each day despite the weather.

Here's my creation...

Celebrate Today

I started my card out with a 6x6 Scalloped white card base and layered on blue and yellow cardstock.  I then matted designer paper to white and blue cardstock.  The flower image is a freebie from Beccy's Place, which she generously gave away on her blog a while ago.  She also has a digital store that you can check out which has a lot of cool images for sale as well.

I finished the card up with some flourishes and Stickles in the center of the flower.  I used Copics to lightly color the flower and added bling in the corners to make it sparkle.  The sentiment is from another generous soul...Paulette over at Create with TLC.

March Issue of AWNB

Greetings!

Long time no blogging.  lol  Well, I have been working behind the scenes on a lot of things, not to mention recovering from being sick, packing up my office at work and moving to a cubicle, and then leaving the building all together because of nasty black mold.  Whew!!  I am exhausted thinking about it.  Anyways, I am alive and kicking so no complaints, right?  Right!!

I am kicking off the week by sharing with you the news that the March issue of Arts with No Boundaries ezine is out for your viewing pleasure.  I do not have any projects in this issue, due to all the stuff I mentioned above. lol  Nevertheless, Chris is showcasing some of her original work and it is (as usual) packed with lots of inspiration.

Stop by and check out all the lovely creations and enter for a chance to win some wonderful prizes.
