Mo’s Challenge #20

Here’s my take on the layout challenge over at Mo’s Challenge Blog.  I used the colors of my bedroom, chocolate and lavender as my color choice for this cute little digi.

I used Copic markers to color the image and added the ribbon from Michaels.

Phindy’s Place Digis

Greetings everyone!

I wanted to post some cards that I have done because I am applying to be a Design Team member for Phindy’s Place Digis.  Phindy’s digis are unique because she has several different scenery images that I haven’t seen anyone else do.

As you can see, her images are beautiful.  I only hope that my coloring does them justice.  Keep your fingers crossed that I am chosen as one of her DTs.

If you would like to purchase Phindy’s digis you can go to http://www.phindysplace.etsy.com and you can join her Paper Craft Planet (PCP) group at  http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/phindysplace?groupUrl=phindysplace&id=2076575%3AGroup%3A726699&page=3#comments.

K.I.S.S.: Keep it sweet (and) simple...

Mo's challenge for this week is to create a card using white or cream color cardstock, ribbon and that is about it.  I decided to use a digi from Mo's book "Kitchen Dance."  I love this book and currently my sister's first graders are reading it as part of their lesson plan on family.  The book is an excellent way to teach kids about what a family really is all about.

I used shades of purple Copic markers, brick beige, maroon and added red on the mother's lips and nails.  I added a sentiment that I wrote which says, "A mother's love fills your darkest moments with joy."  I truly believe this and although I am not a mother I have the world greatest mother as confirmation.

I added a pale purple polk-a-dot ribbon beneathe the score line I did with my Scor-Pal.  Out of all the cards that I have created, this one means the most to me, because I truly believe that a mother's love is a gift that God has given her to care for her children.

I hope that you enjoy this card as much as I did creating it.  Although it is simple, I believe that it's message is powerful.

Thanks for visiting...

We are the clay…

I purchased this stamp at Mega Meet last year from Our Daily Bread and I just got a chance to use it.  I think this is a beautiful stamp and what a beautiful testimony of God’s love for us.  I used Copic markers, ribbon and jewels from Michaels, and paper from Maggies.  The paper has clay pots all over it and scriptures.

Mo’s Challenge: Red, Pink & White

Greetings everyone!  For this week’s challenge card we were asked to use the colors red, white and pink.  I decided to use Mo’s Cinderella digi and to add the phrase “You sweep me off my feet!”  I think this image is so cute so I cleaned her up a little using PS and added glitter paper and hearts (which was also part of the challenge).

I enjoyed coloring her with Copics and for an extra special touch I used MS “XOs” border punch along the side.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Bella & Bronte Challenge

Greetings everyone!

I wanted to post my stair step card using "would" or "wood" for Mo's Design Team challenge.  I recently have become an aunt again for the (well with 16 siblings I lose count).  Caden Adrian Thomas was born on February 6th, 7 pounds and 15 ounces, and 20 inches long.  He and his two other brothers, Caleb and Karlton were the inspiration for this card.  I wondered how the older brothers would react to having a little baby brother in house with them.

So I combined two of Mo's digi stamps, the "terrible twos" and "moving out" and decided that the older brothers would probably make it known that they were there first.  I added "wood" paper to resemble the floor and added a "teddy bear" charm on the ribbon.  This card was a lot of fun to color and I had to laugh at the thought of my nephews telling baby Cade, "I was here first," as they collected all their toys and belongings to keep him from getting to them.  Also, the little "moving out" digi looks like he has an air of priviledge as he struts with his bottle in mouth and belongings dragging behind him (totally oblivious to his little brother screaming in the background).  Too too adorable!!

I hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting.
